Join animated author Dea Hoover at the Washington Public Library as she presents her book STL Scavenger. Her book provides the perfect family activity of exploring points of interest in the St. Louis community for a day or a staycation. This event is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library and Neighborhood Reads Bookstore where books may be purchased. Books will also be for sale at the event. Washington Public Library hosts an 8 week Great Decisions discussion series every summer beginning on the 1st Wednesday in August at 1:00 p.m. This session will repeat in the winter beginning on the 1st Wednesday in February at 1:00 p.m. Great Decisions is developed by the Foreign Policy Association.  The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book, watching the documentary film series, and meeting in a Discussion Group to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today. All materials will be provided.
