» Read moreWashington Public Library has been awarded a 2022 STEAM Kits Grant in the amount of $4,000. The Friends of the Library pledged an additional $2,000 in funds towards STEAM Kits, for a total of $6,000. With these funds, the library will add approximately 46 STEAM Kits that will be available for 2-week checkouts. Kits include subjects such as “All About Dinosaurs,” “Engineering, Gears and Mazes,” “Let’s Explore Space,” and “Robotics and Coding Kit.” We anticipate that the kits will be available by summer. Kits will vary in age group from Pre-K through 4th Grade +. This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
