The Library is closed for construction all day April 5 and April 6. Thursday Tot Times will take place at the City Hall Council Chambers. The library will re-open on Friday, April 7. The downstairs will be closed when we re-open. The Children’s section will be closed for the month of April, and re-open at the beginning of May.

It is time to get crafty with pets in mind when making a towel dog. All supplies provided. Pick up supplies on Tuesday, April 11th. Ages 12 and up.

Author Event with Eric O’Grey Author and motivational speaker, Eric O’Grey, will share his story of positive changes he made that altered the course of his life and his dog, Peety. This Community Reads Culinary Show Author Eric O’Grey and our own Hell’s Kitchen winner Trenton Garvey will be showcasing their culinary talents! Try samples and visit with food and craft vendors between demonstrations. Friday, April 14th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Washington West Elementary School. All Ages

East Central College, Scenic Regional Library, and Washington Public Library invite you to join us for This Community Reads Culinary Show. The free, all-ages event will take place on Friday, April 14, at the West Elementary school in Washington from 5-8 PM. Showcase your culinary business or gadgets during this “all things food(ie)” evening. Sales are allowed, and samples are encouraged. No alcohol permitted. Update (3/25/2023): The weather is expected to clear up a little later today, so we still plan on going out to the Big Blue Observatory tonight in New Haven. The library is partnering with the Eastern Missouri Dark Sky Observers for a night of stargazing at the Observatory in New Haven. View the wonders of our universe such as planets, stars, and nebula through the 30″ Dobsonian telescope. Meet at the Big Blue Observatory at the Cedar Creek Conference Center, 1401 Olive Rd, New Haven, MO 63068. If the event is cancelled due to clouds or inclement weather we will meet on Saturday, April 22nd. Saturday, March 25th at 7:00 p.m. All Ages
