What’s better than one featured author at Family Reading Night? How about we bring in the illustrator, too? Marc Colagiovanni, author of Reflection in Me, and Peter H. Reynolds, the book’s illustrator and a FRN alum, will join us on Friday, March 1, at the Washington Middle School. Featuring reading rooms, crafts, and prizes! Come help us kick off our third annual Community Read with a performance of “Give ‘Em Hell, Harry!” – a one-person play about Harry S. Truman starring his grandson, Clifton Truman Daniel. The performance will take place on Friday, March 1, at 7 PM at the East Central College Anglin Performing Arts Center in Union and is FREE to the public. This event is for adults and young adults. In February 1924, Washington Public Library began to serve the surrounding community as part of the city of Washington. To honor this special occasion, we’ll leap into 100th anniversary activities for the young and young at heart. It’s a bonus day to commemorate the library’s 100 years!
