Summer Reading Program Kick Off, May 31 from 6-8pm

Our celebration is action-packed with Babaloo bringing high energy excitement to our Children’s Plaza. Author Colter Jackson will be here. Thorni Ridge Exotics, a mobile petting zoo, presents a variety of animals to meet up close. The library’s main parking lot will be blocked off to accommodate adventurous fun for the entire family, including games and crafts. This event is in partnership with Neighborhood Reads, Friends of the WPL, and Bank of Franklin County. Friday, May 31st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Family Featured Author: Colter Jackson, author of “The Rhino Suit” and “Everyday Brave.” The Friends of the Library will be giving away 75 copies of Colter Jackson’s most recent books, first-come, first-serve. Additional copies will be available for purchase.

“Libraries Rock!” Rock Painting

Show your library love by visiting the library during National Library Week and painting a rock to add to the “Libraries Rock” snake, Medusa. The library will have a station set up on the lower level with all supplies provided (while supplies last). Lets see how long we can make Medusa before the end of the week.
