Holy Lemurs in a Library, Batman! We had an actual lemur in the library. We gave him a book sale book. He loved it so much he ate part of it. His paws were like velvet gloves. Thanks to our patrons for coming out last night to our after hours Friday party with the Party Paws Mobile Zoo (it's a rescue animal zoo). It was amazing to see, touch and learn about exotic animals.

What a week it was at the library! We had our July book club for ages 9-12, released some butterflies into the wild, read to reptiles, made crafts, gave out summer reading prizes, hosted the USDA food truck, played mahjong, did a bunch of story times, and more! Thanks for coming to the library and making us a community living room.

These photos were taken with an iphone. How that you have the picture, what do you with it? How do you identify a bird, mammal, reptile or bug that you encounter? Can you spot a fake animal? How do you remember it later? There are some great tools out there to identify and store your encountered wildlife - and participate in science research at the same time! Join us Tuesday, July 21 @ 6:30 p.m. at the library to learn how to use apps to enrich your wildlife viewing.
